What should a souvenir do for you
Is it just because everyone else comes home with a particular souvenir that you have to buy one too.
Taking the time to consider what souvenir to take home is not something that most people consider when planning their holiday, you really need to think about this as you’re going to be looking at what you buy for a very long time and buying the right souvenir can make all the difference to how you remember your holiday. I have had clients who collect t-shirts everywhere they go or buy a pen with the name of every country or port they visit I have had someone commission a piece of jewellery one even collected tattoos, one client even bought a Waterford crystal chandelier.
Across Ireland you will find amazing artists and craft people who produce pieces to suit every pocket and taste, it doesn’t have to say Ireland to everyone who sees it. It’s there to make you smile when you look, to trigger those memories of your time on the Emerald Isle. I have had honeymooners buy new wedding rings because they fell in love with a set of handmade Celtic knot design wedding rings in Jmk jewellers in Kilkenny, another bought a lap blanket at the Avoka woollen mills for sitting on their porch in the evening.
All I’m saying is take the time in picking the right memento that will give you that special feeling every time you look at it is just as important as picking the places you want to visit.
