That Day in the Middle

It does not matter if you are touring Ireland with a driver guide or on a self drive tour, believe me touring Ireland can be a hectic and stressful experience, especially when travelling with children and there is no reason why that should be! With some planning and understanding, you should be able to create an itinerary that works for you and your family.

We have had clients swapping day by day from hotels to glamping pods, to self catering homes and apartments. It is all about what works for you. One of my favourite parts of this job is helping people understand that taking a day off from touring can add so much to your experience of Ireland. It does not matter where you are, be it Donegal, Galway or Kerry, there are so many fantastic tourist experiences available for you. Taking that day gives you a chance to relax and catch your breath, and to experience those other tourist experiences, or just sit with a coffee or a pint and enjoy the view, after all it is your day.

If you are travelling with children, then that day is so important to them, make it their day and let them choose what to do, the options and experiences available are great, from Sea Safari’s all along the Wild Atlantic Way (whale watching), cycling the green ways of Ireland, Zip lining in an adventure park, to taking a Llama or a Hawk for a walk, and you never know, you might enjoy the day too!
