After leaving Gougane Barra, our journey continues toward Cork City. Along the way, we’ll pause at picturesque spots like Tanner Bridge and the historic Inchigeela Mass Rock—perfect for capturing stunning photographs. As we meander through charming country lanes, we’ll visit the remarkable Cahirvailagh Ring Fort, a fascinating site dating back to 1000 AD that offers a glimpse into Ireland’s ancient past.

Step Back in Time

A quick 10-minute drive will bring us to the Kinneaigh Round Tower, a 6th-century architectural wonder and one of only two round towers in West Cork. If the weather is on our side, we’ll also visit the intriguing Horn Hill Stone Circle, a prehistoric site that’s a treasure for history enthusiasts.

Next, we’ll stop at the historic site of Béal na Bláth, where the brave leader Michael Collins met his untimely fate in 1922—serving as a poignant reminder of Ireland's revolutionary past.
